Running a business doesn't have to mean constantly putting out fires!

(Unless you’re setting up a fire brigade, I guess?)

Instead, running a successful business can mean fully focussing your efforts onscaling, welcoming in new phases or starting new projects, and actually enjoying the lifestyle you worked to create for yourself.

OBM, trusted strategic partner, and the person you can delegate everything to so you never have to delegate again.

Adding an extra person into the mix can often mean more people to manage and have to delegate to. With me as your Online Business Manager, the opposite is true: tasks will begin to transfer to other to-do lists, systems and structures will be optimised to ensure you can take your foot off the pedal, and time will comeback into your life for the first time in what feels like forever.

Whether you spend it making business moves or perfecting your iced coffee recipe (or a fine blend of the both – I look forward to chatting about it all with you in our next call), what you choose to do with that wild and precious time is totally up to you.

Virtually Vera, with very IRL consequences.

While working as a Business Manager in Dublin, I was essentially running the show from top-to-bottom: from strategy and hiring to operations and vendor management.

Though I loved seeing the impact I was making, I didn’t like doing it in an environment where I had little to no freedom, something that became apparent when I requested medical leave, and was met with so many red flags I wondered whether I was in an episode of Game of Thrones.

This gave me the push I needed to set up as self-employed, using my experience in business development, e-commerce management, and customer service and the skills I’d honed to help entrepreneurs and business owners get back the freedom and autonomy that I know to be so important.

The three C’s (Coke Zero, Chips, & Cats)

So how do I spend that time, you ask? My favorite thing is unapologetically doing absolutely nothing with my fiancé and our cats: just hanging out, being cosy, probably rewatching Below Deck for the millionth time.

I love a crispy cold Coke Zero and constantly snack on chips (I am anaemic, so salt is basically a medical necessity, okay?). Every two months or so, we get the itch to book impromptu tickets to travel somewhere, which is how I ended up in Norway in a freezing cold December…

Enough about me, let’s talk about you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Personal edition!

What’s your go-to coffee order?

I’m not a heavy coffee drinker, but when I do go for one, I get a hot caramel macchiato. There’s just something really comforting about it…it’s sweet and cosy and feels like a little warm hug in a cup.

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?

I’d be working in the cybercrime division of the police! That’s actually why I studied computer science in the first place. But life had other plans (as it often does), and somewhere along the way, I found myself building this business instead. How I ended up as an OBM is a longer story… but if you’re curious, I’d be happy to share it over our virtual coffee.

What’s something that’s shifted for you since going all in on your business?

I fly business class now and I still can’t believe I get to say that. It’s not about the seat (okay, partly the seat), but I get severe anxiety when I fly and I’m not sure I’ll find overhead space for my carry-on or if a super chatty person will be glued to me.  That comfort is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

How do you mark the big wins and what do you do when things fall apart?

I usually celebrate wins by buying myself something I’ve been eyeing, which 99% of the time is yet another book. When things fall apart? I let myself spiral a bit (because, you know, human), then I unplug, nap, and give myself space to reset. Once the fog lifts, I regroup, dust off, and get back into it. That cycle has never failed me.

Oh hey you, scrolling to the bottom of the page. I like how thorough you are – as a reward, here’s a picture of my bosses:
